Partnered with River Legacy for a local photographer show case for the upcoming exhibit the Art and Science of Arachnids: This show is going on now.

Macroscopic Wonders show at River Legacy:

Partnered with River Legacy to show case macro images of insects. Taught a class on macro photography for this art show which was alongside the traveling Bug Squad Exhibit as a separate installation

Wild DFW: Explore the Amazing Nature in and Around Dallas-Fort Worth by Amy Martin

Contributed to this project which published in 2022. From 2020 I gathered images for the project from my archive. Took the author Amy Martin on a tour of River Legacy and was mentioned in the citizen science section. Five images were successfully submitted and the River Legacy adventure were my contributions to this project.

Mansfield Public Library City Nature Challenge Display

Was one of many local citizen scientists to be showcased in the Mansfield Public Library show case. This was a way to get folks to participate in the iNaturalist City Nature Challenge of 2017 one of my earliest ventures I partook in.

  • Volunteerism: UTA’s partnership with Pool Gallery; historical display set up for Art Deco discussion in Fort Worth Modern (2023)

  • UTA Museum studies partnered with a volunteer art gallery service to identify and pick works to show to their elderly patients (2023)

  • Associates Degree from Tarrant County College: basics with some emphasis on photography

  • 2019-2020: Formed the South Nature and Outdoors Club at the South Campus and was awarded the Recognized Student Organization of the year in 2020

Employment

  • Fort Worth Zoo Texas Nature Traders Attendant (July 2nd,2025-present)

    Work as an educator with the Fort Worth Zoo’s Texas Nature Traders; educating kids on the items they bring in and give them information and immersive learning as they explore nature in and around Texas and beyond

  • River Legacy (Spring Internship 2025)

    Was tasked with renewing and restoring the natural history collection that they use for education. Got the hands on training to work on organizing: new labels, catalogs, digitization of images, better storage methods including foam inserts, insect pinning boards, etc.. I got hands-on manual labor skills and research soft skills and worked on building professionalism in real-time.

  • Texas Conservation Alliance (Internship 2023 Spring)

    Worked with Lights Out Fort Worth working in the Downtown region of Fort Worth gathering data on bird window strikes; identifying migratory species that had been victims of window collisions and sending them to our partners for further study.

  • River Legacy (2022)

    Worked as a summer assistant teacher for River Legacy during summer herpetology camp

Volunteering

  • Texas Master Naturalist: Cross Timbers Chapter Volunteer (2016-present)

    Worked on various programs and projects within the realms of Citizen Science, kids classes, nature camps and education many with our partners from River Legacy, Elmer W. Oliver Nature Park, Fort Worth Nature Center and Wildlife Refuge, Molly Hollar Wildscape, and other areas around the DFW region

  • River Legacy Living Science Center (2016-present)

    Volunteered with various classes and camps including Great Backyard Bird Count, W.A.T.E.R. festival, Fall Festival, Summer Nature Camps (Herpetology, Entomology, and Outdoor Adventures camps), Spring Break Adventures Camp, etc.
